Pest Inspection and Report
What a pest inspection involves
Timber pests like termites (sometimes called ‘white ants’) and borers are hard to spot when you are walking through an Open House. Fresh paint can sometimes cover up what’s really going on like woodrot in timbers.
That’s why it is so important to have a Timber Pest inspection (pest inspection) done before you make an offer.
It means you know what you’re really buying and, if any problems are found, negotiate the price down. In fact termite damage rarely means you have to walk away – instead it means you can get a better deal on a property you love.
When we conduct a visual pest inspection along with your building assessment, everything is taken care of for you.
That means we;
- arrange access with the real estate agent (but never disclose what we find to them, unless you approve us to do so)
- spend 1-2 hours assessing and documenting the property’s condition including timber pest activity (including photos)
- take particular care and access all accessible areas, subfloors, roof space, internal and external areas
- phone you that same day or meet on site to talk through what we’ve found and how we rate the risk of termite activity
- send you a fully comprehensive, easy to follow report within 24 business hours.
We also do Building Inspections and Reports
Your Pest Inspection is available by itself, as an extension to your Building Report or as part of The Works package which also includes a Compliance Report.
